About Deondra Parks

As president and CEO of The RFC Group, excellent outsourcing is what Deondra Parks delivers
best. Deondra Parks has serviced many of the largest Fortune 500 companies in the capacity of executive
administrative support. With thirty plus years of experience, her extensive knowledge and hands-on
experience are fundamental in outsourcing exceptional support personnel and resources. A proud native
of Detroit, Michigan, Deondra developed a strong interest in clerical office support during her adolescent
years. She has been successful to rebuild her first love of staffing and has now become an excellent staffing resource in the community.

Deondra is a certified MBE of the National Minority Supplier Development Council a certified
woman-owned business through Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) Woman
Owned Small Business (WOSB), as well as a member of the National Entrepreneurs Association
(NEA), and National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). Ms. Parks is a graduate of the
TUCK Executive Education program at Dartmouth. She is also active within her community as an
Ambassador for the Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC), a member of the Detroit
Regional Chamber (DRC). She sits as member for the South-Oakland YMCA Board of Directors,
and The American Society of Administrative Professionals (ASAP). Outside of work, Deondra is a
loving, dedicated mother of four adult children: Ti’Ane, Justyn, Madison, and Juanita. Her life’s journey
instilled within her a love for community, servitude, and stewardship. “When The Lights Came On” is a
book written and authored by Deondra Parks, which details her personal journey from homelessness to Entrepreneurship.

About Veronica…
Veronica Johnson is the Director of Certification for the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council.  She came to the organization in 2007 and began as a Certification Assistant.  Since then, Great Lakes WBC has seen an increase of over 800 certified women owned businesses.  There are currently 1,450 certified women business enterprises representing $ 12.3 billion in annual revenue and 48,500 U.S. workers.
Veronica is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the certification process, program growth and staff, along with managing certification review committee meetings and representing Great Lakes WBC in the community.
