leadership, management and oversight required to optimize the deployment of SBA programs and
services. She manages a team that counsels and provides resources to small businesses to help
facilitate their development and growth in the 8(a) Business Development Program. She collaborates
with the public and private sector agencies, organizations, and individuals to ensure that identified
underserved communities have knowledge of and access to SBA and other federal, state, and
community programs and resources that support entrepreneurs and small business owners. Just
prior to joining the SBA, Ms. Henderson was a Marketing Director and Community Relations Manager

and campaigns to aid in determining customers and to target markets; she managed marketing
technologies, resources and tools to fulfill those needs. She organized and managed events to boost
brand awareness which resulted in an increase in sales. Ms. Henderson began her private sector
career in the automotive industry with General Motors at the Cadillac Assembly Center in Detroit,
Michigan, where she was selected to attend the North American Operations Process Engineering
program. She became the first non-Engineer at the Cadillac Assembly center to be selected to such a
position. She then went on to work with Toyota Motors Manufacturing in Princeton, Indiana (TMMI)
and was a part of the team that launched the East Plant where the tundra and sienna were built. She
was also a part of the team that launched the first Greenfield North American operations plant for
